Javier Acero is the owner of Tattoo & Co. Miami and has been a tattoo artist for fourteen years. He has always been intrigued by design and studied commercial design at the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University in Bogota-Colombia. His personal and most preferred tattoo style is focused on oriental art and polynesian, with an extraordinary concept of bright colors and strong expressions of vitality and life throughout his tattoo style. Javier Acero believes that tattoos are everlasting in a great sense, which joins the mobility of the person, projecting the art form on the canvas of life which is the skin. He is well-known for creating magic with his tattoos (a tattoo magician), due to his passion for the art form. Javier Acero has won a variety of awards and has been recognized by many for the craftsmanship within his tattoos and in other areas within the art world. While Javier is working for Tattoo & Co. Miami most of the time, he also makes trips to national and international tattoo conventions.
Ornan Feito has always been inclined towards the Arts. He studied and graduated from the International Fine Arts College, earning him an Associates Degree in Visual Arts. His artistic accomplishments include winning first and second places in several art contests. His theme of preference is Fantasy Art and admires masters of the Fantasy Arts world; such as Frank Frazetta, Luis Royo, Larry El More, Todd Lockwood, Brom, and Robert Pritchard. Ornan started tattooing soon after he had his first tattoo done, and with the guidance of experienced tattoo artists, he started evolving and practicing the art of tattooing. He has been a resident tattoo artist at Tattoo & Co. Miami since 2006 and is still going strong. Showing his multiple talents, Ornan has also mastered the trade of piercing. Humble and modest to a fault and shying away from being called an artist, his undeniable talent speaks for itself. Like his ever growing portfolio, his technique and natural skill have progressed throughout the years. Forever dedicated artistic knowledge, he is a true master of his crafts.
Born in Quito, Ecuador, on May 7th, 1983. Vincent, at 4 years old, left to New York City to meet his father, who had gone to the U.S. the previous year, in order to get his family a new home and a steady income. At age 8, his parents divorced. His mother, telling him that “Dad will meet us in Disney World”, left with him to Florida. That was the last Vincent saw his father till he was 18. “Miami has and always will be my home” he says. Through all his school years, the study of graffiti art, drawing, and painting, were his devotions. Marrying young, at 21, he received a life changing gift with the birth of his daughter. Leaving college after 3 years, Vincent was given another life-changing opportunity by his mentor Jose Carrera. But, tragically, was short of a lesson when he learned that he’d have to live to with a heavy heart in Jose’s passing on September 6, 2009. “I got hit hard for about a year and a half, to then see the light in true strength from some tough times. I received unexpected help and guidance from Jose Farina and Pepe Calderin.” Vincent recalls. Yet his passion for tattooing had become dormant, and in early 2012 would be resurrected by Javier Acero. “I believe Javier is here to pick up were I was left. I have a new mentor and friends at Tattoo & Co. It has been a dream come true to me and my family.
TaniaAnn (aka Vicious T) for the past 7 years has tattooed professionally but, has been an artist all her life. She started drawing very young, “I come from a family where we are all artists.” Her mother and brother taught her how to draw at 6. As a young lady she used to draw on her own arms and legs all of the time, and even on her stepfathers skin! “I Always had a passion for art.” she said. She loves nature, contemplating panoramic views, and works on crafts. “I even love to paint kids faces on bdays and activities!” she said. When T was 18, before ever touching a tattoo machine, she got her first tattoo. That’s when she discovered how to make a living doing what she loved (drawing & painting) but instead of pens, pencils, or paint; She’d do it with needles and ink! “I’m an amazing tattoo artist because I love art, I love working with colors, creating texture with ink, casting shadows, adding depth, my addiction to detail makes my tattoos vibrant, well-defined, and intricate.” T said. “I’m not perfect and have a lot to learn, but I’m passionate and inherently good, so I know I’ll become one of the top tattoo artists in the biz.” She says smiling. Her work is praised and wins awards in every competition entered: from small tattoos and portraits, to full sleeves, chests, and backs! “I’m proud of my chosen profession, I’m proud of being a woman.”
I’d like to tell you all a few things about myself and how I came to be where I am today;
My family is originallly from Rio de Janiero Brazil, I was born in New York and at the age of seven lived between Rio and Miami. I began drawing ever since I can remember; in 1996 I was 19 years old and I was soon exposed to the tatooing industry, a few years later, at the age of 21 I joined the Marine Corps. I was stationed at Camp Pendelton which is located in San Diego California. In 2010 I was injured in combat and was soon medically retired. I went to the Art Institute of Miami where I studied for 2 years and graduated with a (BFA) bachelors in fine arts. I now enjoy long walks on the beach, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches which I share with my wife and son. I enjoy water water coloring, scuba diving, and long showers. I don’t play golf because I do not have the patience for it, but I absolutely love tattooing.
